Onsite Wellness & Recovery
Red light therapy and infrared sauna in American Fork, UT. Onsite recovery modalities at Foundation Wellness to support inflammation, detoxification, and healing.
On-site services that incorporate comprehensive wellness. Red light therapy and infrared sauna complement medical care, reduce inflammation, support detoxification, and accelerate recovery.
Recovery Is Part of the Plan
Medical treatment doesn’t end with a prescription. The body heals, adapts, and optimizes through recovery, and the quality of that recovery matters. At Foundation Wellness, we offer onsite wellness modalities that complement our medical services and give patients real tools to support their health between visits.
And to be clear: these aren’t spa amenities. They’re evidence-informed recovery therapies we selected because they address real physiological processes. Inflammation, circulation, cellular repair, detoxification, and nervous system regulation.
Red Light Therapy
Red light therapy (also called photobiomodulation) uses specific wavelengths of red and near-infrared light to stimulate cellular energy production. The light is absorbed by mitochondria, enhancing ATP synthesis and supporting the body’s natural repair processes.
What the Research Supports
- Reduced inflammation, particularly useful for patients managing chronic pain, post-procedural recovery, or systemic inflammatory conditions
- Improved skin health and wound healing through increased collagen production and accelerated tissue repair
- Joint and muscle recovery, beneficial for exercise-induced soreness, arthritis, or musculoskeletal pain
- Mood and energy support (emerging evidence suggests benefits for seasonal mood changes and overall vitality)
Red light therapy is non-invasive, painless, and requires no downtime. Sessions typically run 10 to 20 minutes.
Infrared Sauna
Unlike traditional saunas that heat the air around you, infrared saunas use infrared wavelengths to heat the body directly. This allows for a deep, therapeutic sweat at a lower, more tolerable ambient temperature.
Clinical Benefits
- Detoxification support, promoting sweating that helps the body eliminate heavy metals, environmental toxins, and metabolic waste products
- Cardiovascular conditioning (regular infrared sauna use has been associated with improved vascular function, reduced blood pressure, and enhanced circulation)
- Pain and inflammation reduction, because heat therapy has well-established benefits for chronic pain, stiffness, and inflammatory conditions
- Nervous system regulation through parasympathetic activation from heat exposure, supporting stress recovery, improved sleep quality, and overall relaxation
Infrared sauna sessions complement our mental wellness and hormone optimization programs, particularly for patients working on stress physiology and nervous system health.
How These Fit Into Your Care
Our onsite wellness modalities work best as part of a coordinated treatment plan. A patient undergoing hormone optimization might use infrared sauna to support detoxification and stress reduction. Someone in our weight optimization program might incorporate red light therapy to manage inflammation and support recovery from increased physical activity. Make sense?
These services are available to all Foundation Wellness patients, either as standalone sessions or integrated into your treatment plan based on your clinical team’s recommendations.
