Men's Health & Testosterone Optimization
Medically supervised testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) in American Fork, UT. Comprehensive bloodwork, individualized dosing, and integrated health support at Foundation Wellness.
Testosterone optimization focused on safety and sustainability. We monitor comprehensive bloodwork, tailor dosing individually, and address the full picture — sleep, stress, metabolic health — not just a number on a lab report.
More Than Just a Number
Testosterone affects far more than most men realize. It plays a central role in energy, motivation, cognitive clarity, sleep quality, body composition, cardiovascular health, and mood stability. When levels decline (whether gradually with age or more abruptly due to stress, illness, or lifestyle factors) the effects can be pervasive and hard to pin down.
Many men describe it as a slow erosion. Less drive. Harder to recover from workouts. More body fat despite consistent effort. Irritability or low mood that doesn’t match your circumstances. Poor sleep. Reduced focus.
Sound familiar? These aren’t inevitable consequences of getting older. They’re often signs of hormonal decline that can be identified, measured, and treated.
How We Approach Testosterone Optimization
At Foundation Wellness, testosterone replacement therapy is a medical intervention, prescribed thoughtfully, monitored carefully, and integrated into a broader health strategy.
Comprehensive Evaluation
We don’t diagnose based on a single total testosterone level. Our initial workup includes:
- Total and free testosterone, with proper timing and methodology
- Estradiol, SHBG, and LH/FSH, to understand the hormonal ecosystem, not just one marker
- Complete metabolic panel, CBC, lipid panel for baseline organ function and cardiovascular risk
- PSA and hematocrit for safety monitoring from day one
- Thyroid, cortisol, and insulin markers, because testosterone doesn’t operate in isolation
Individualized Treatment
Every patient receives a protocol designed for their specific lab results, symptoms, and health goals. We use evidence-based delivery methods and adjust dosing based on clinical response and follow-up labs. Not a fixed template.
Monitoring is ongoing. We track hematocrit, estradiol, PSA, and metabolic markers at regular intervals to make sure treatment stays safe and effective. If something needs adjustment, we catch it early.
The Bigger Picture
Testosterone optimization works best when it’s part of a comprehensive approach. Sleep, stress physiology, metabolic health, and body composition all influence testosterone levels (and are influenced by them). We address these factors alongside TRT, not as an afterthought.
For men dealing with weight resistance, we often coordinate testosterone therapy with our weight optimization program. For those experiencing anxiety, mood changes, or cognitive symptoms, our mental wellness services can work in parallel. This is what integrated care actually means.
Safety and Oversight
TRT is a powerful tool, and it carries real responsibilities. Dr. Bunton and our clinical team maintain rigorous safety protocols throughout treatment. We’re transparent about risks, realistic about expectations, and committed to monitoring that goes beyond the minimum standard.
And if TRT isn’t appropriate for a patient, we’ll say so. We’ll work on the factors that are within reach instead.
Get Evaluated
If you’re experiencing symptoms that could be related to testosterone decline (fatigue, weight gain, brain fog, low motivation, reduced strength, poor sleep) the first step is a proper evaluation. Not a guess, not a supplement stack, not a quick-fix clinic. Comprehensive bloodwork and a physician-led assessment.
